Programmer Intern:
Ever wanted to work in the game industry? Here’s your shot!!
Replay Games is looking for a programmer intern to fill a position that was just vacated by our previous intern who had too much work at school. So, to fix that problem, we’re looking for someone that has already graduated and has either a full time job, or another way to support himself or herself since this position only will be paid when one of our projects gets picked up by our publishers or we get funded, whichever comes first.
Qualifications should include:
- Yes, you got it right: you need to know how to program. The more the better. We’re not going to list them here, but we want to know what you know. Please don’t lie on your resume to make us think you know it all since you’ll be getting a programming test.
- Mobile phone experience a plus (Brew/Java)
- Expect to have no life, work on cool next generation games, and have your name in lights when those games get published.
- Be cool.
- Have a flexible schedule that works well with our team as well as our external development teams.
- Don’t be afraid to stay up late and work weekends to get the job done.
- Be open to learning
- Be able to multi-task and switch strategies extremely quickly.
- Good oral, phone, IM, and overall communication is extremely necessary.
- An obvious interest in developing (not just playing) video games. There is a big difference.
- Be able to work on your own with minimal supervision at times.
- Be able to work on a team when a team environment is required.
- Be able to finish what you start (that’s a big one)
- Bachelors in CS or related field would be desirable
- Ability to use MS Outlook properly (you know, capitalize the sentences, use punctuation, address the emails, etc.)
- Last but probably one of the most important items – have integrity.
